Founder/CEO

As Founder and CEO, Rupert is responsible for SDR’s overall leadership, strategy and direction. He works closely with the leadership team on governance, investment, finance, capital planning, culture and key stakeholder relationships, ensuring SDR grows in a disciplined way while staying focused on its purpose: supporting our people to deliver outstanding service.

Rupert is a chartered surveyor and began his career in real estate consultancy. He has advised public and private sector clients on development, regeneration and property strategy. He founded SDR in 2018 and has since led its growth from a property and housing business into a care group operating across residential, nursing and specialist care.

Outside work, Rupert spends his time with his family, walking his dog and keeping bees. He plays golf and cricket, follows Sussex cricket, and supports Brighton & Hove Albion.
